High Line, Gallery & Shake Shack

On Friday, May 14, the Advanced Photography class ventured into Manhattan for a day devoted to design, photography and alfresco dining. We first stopped at the High Line, a redesigned former elevated railway that has been transformed into a park. After wandering along this unique park and remarking on the interesting design elements that we were inspired by, we headed to the Silverstein Gallery, in Chelsea.

Once in the gallery, the students began viewing the two exhibitions while taking notes that would be used in preparation for an in class presentation. By this point everyone had worked up quite an appetite so we walked across town to Madison Square Park( 23rd St. & Broadway). The extremely long line (see pictures) that we had to wait on was well worth it. Those Shake Shack burgers and shakes were terrific.
